Jon and Beverley first met in their early teens when Beverley spotted him at a local dance and grabbed him for a "Ladies Excuse-Me". She sang along with the song and within moments Jon was harmonising.
With the addition of a friend on bongos, Jon (playing a cheap Spanish guitar painted blue) with Beverley on vocals and percussion, went on to win a local talent show.

They began performing at clubs and pubs until Jon's family moved away, not meeting again until 2002 when they were able to start making music again.

Jon learned to play guitar at an early age and formed an acoustic trio playing folk and pop songs, Their influences were Peter, Paul and Mary, Bob Dylan and  the Yardbirds. He was briefly bass player for the King Beats pop group until he moved out of the area.

In the seventies, he played in various Country and folk groups around the Medway towns in Kent.
Beverley first realised she liked being on stage, aged two and a half, when she was invited to sing a song at a Christmas party.

She learned all the latest pop songs and put on shows for neighbours and friends aged six. She won talent shows at Butlin's Holiday camps and, aged 12, performed with a band called The Reveloes until they went on tour.

On meeting Jon she sang with their acoustic, close-harmony trio - Jon teaching her to play guitar.

Beverley successfully auditioned for TV's Opportunity Knocks although she never actually appeared due to the popularity of Mary Hopkins!

She was lead vocalist for London-based band Dawn and the Rising Sons and also sang in the duo Take Two. Co-founder of 60's retro band The Rocking Chairs and also the Country band Peppermint Junction, Beverley began writing and recording her own original music with Jon in the duo Tilsmore.
